6 or 8 tart apples 1Tbsp. lemon juice 1 cup sugar 3 1/2 Tbsp. flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. salt dash cloves 2 Tbsp. cold butter
Toss sliced apples in lemon juice and then in mix of flour and spices. Fill pastry shell and dot with butter. Cover with top pastry and bake at 450 for 10 min. Reduce heat to 350 and bake 40 minutes more.
