2/3 c. butter 1 2/3 c. sugar 3 eggs 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 2/3 c. cocoa 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking powder
Beat first four ingredients together for 3 minutes at high speed on mixer. Combine dry ingredients. Add water to creamed mixture alternately with dry ingredients. Bake at 350F for 40 - 50 minutes. Makes a great birthday cake with whipped cream and cherries.
