4 medium potatoes, cooked and mashed 1 small onion, grated 1egg, well beaten 2 Tbsp. butter currants or raisins salt (to taste) pepper (to taste) sage (to taste) sugar (to taste)
Combine all ingredients and, if the mixture seems too dry, add a little milk. Bake in a greased casserole in a slow oven.
