4 chicken breasts 4 thin slices cooked ham 4 slices Swiss cheese 2 Tbsp. Flour 2 tsp. Salt 2 tsp. Pepper 1/4 tsp. Allspice 1 beaten egg 2 c. Bread crumbs 3 Tbsp. Shortening 2 Tbsp. Water
Pound the chicken until 1/4"" thick. Cover with the ham and cheese slices. Roll and fasten with toothpicks. Mix flour, salt and spices and coat the rolls with the mixture. Dip in beaten egg, then roll in bread crumbs. Melt fat in skillet and brown the rolls for 5 min. Reduce heat, add water, cover and simmer for 45 min. Remove cover for last 5 minutes.
